Michael is a physiotherapist and exercise physiologist who graduated from Curtin University’s Undergraduate Physiotherapy program in 2012, having previously completed undergraduate and post graduate degrees in sport and exercise science (BSc Sports Science 2006 & MSc Exercise Science 2008). He is currently working part-time at the Western Australian Institute of Sport where he specialises in exercise prescription for athletic performance and rehabilitation. Michael also works as a sport trainer at the West Coast Eagles AFL club.
Michael has experience working across a wide range of sports including AFL, soccer, hockey, cycling, softball and gymnastics – having once been a gymnast himself, and now an international level official.
Michael also specialises in exercise prescription and lifestyle modification to help with the management of chronic diseases such as arthritis, obesity, diabetes, fibromyalgia, and post-operative rehabilitation.
