Emma is a passionate APA titled post graduate Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who holds Masters degrees in both Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Emma works at Body Logic Physiotherapy and also part – time with Curtin University and Water Polo Australia, touring internationally for major competitions.
Emma has expertise in many varied areas including dance and performing arts medicine, sports physiotherapy for swimming and water polo, exercise rehabilitation, children and adolescents as well as helping people with chronic or complex pain conditions. Emma has particular experience in foot / ankle, hip, lower back, neck and shoulder areas as well as chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis, hypermobility and fibromyalgia.
Emma has worked extensively with dance and the performing arts thru both Perth, Australia and London, UK. She has worked with dancers from The Australian Dance Theatre, Chunky Move, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Ballet Black, WA Ballet, and WAAPA; circus performers from the Hoxton Circus Space and; Hollywood and West End leading Actors and international Musicians. Emma currently works with many secondary and tertiary level dance students as well as consulting to local and touring dance and musical theatre companies throughout Perth.
Emma was selected to work as a physiotherapist at the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics in swimming, water polo, diving and syncronised swimming and more recently at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games with gymnastics. Emma is certified Polestar Pilates and Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute Practioner, having lectured worldwide on the integration of pilates into clinical practice.
