Returning To Sport After Having A Baby:

Exercise is an important part of life. Returning to your desired exercise or sport after having a baby can be of concern for some new mums.

Having an assessment by a pelvic health physiotherapist can enable you to have your pelvic floor muscle function, stomach muscle control/separation, whole body muscle strength and balance checked and give you an opportunity to discuss any individual concerns regarding your return to sport. These concerns may include leakage, prolapse, breast feeding, healing stitches or pelvic joint pain.

You will be given a safe “return to exercise” programme that will be designed specifically for you and your chosen sport/s.

We strongly encourage all mothers to be active and we will work with you to enable you to return to the sports you enjoy.
